How hard can it be, right?
With an artist from London visiting for the month, I decided to throw said, “International Market.” The artist, known as Angel London, mused, “The international part of the market is me, right?” Well, yes, but we’ve got other international things!
- Quilts, jackets, and purses from Afghanistan
- Metal ornaments and mirrors from Mexico
- Loads of prints from the UK
- Treasures from all over the world!
Not to mention, our fake British accent.
The international flavor is a result of my quest to go to Christmas Markets in whatever country I have found myself. I’ve gone to them in London, in Milan, in Germany, in Scotland, and all over the UK. The smell of mulled wine and roasted chestnuts, the sounds of music, laughter, and fun, and the people smiling and happy while they gather with friends and family to celebrate. While we may not have the cold wintry weather or the throngs of tourists, we will have the spirit of Christmas at Leigh Acres. And the spirit of an International Christmas Market!
