If you have been sitting on the sidelines of life, what could be better than diving in and helping us create this community that gives back?
Sponsor a tiny house, have an event, volunteer to be on hand, and find yourself smiling and laughing as we create change in the world.
I’m a huge animal lover. People have been saying, “You need a farm” for years.
One day a good friend of mine told me about a farm up for auction and it was mine the moment I saw it.
I sat by the pond and watched the reflection of the barren trees as the view of the mountains peeked over the horizon. It was beautiful. It was going to be mine.
THE FUTURE VISION
We are just getting started!
Leigh Acres is evolving each day. The retreat center was the first step but the best is yet to come!
The art studio, the music studio, the microhouses, animal sanctuary, and the pond are coming soon.
We need your help to see the vision through more quickly.
I’m Leigh Daniel, the founder of Leigh Acres
I am the creator of my own happiness
A few years ago, I really needed transformation in my life.
I was very successful financially but felt a deep sense of unhappiness within. I happened upon the work of Mike Dooley, “Infinite Possibility” and learned that I was the creator of my own happiness.
I haven’t looked back since.
I completely changed the way I was living. I was, and still am, a highly sought after divorce attorney.
Outwardly, I’m the same.
Yet, I’ve come a long way and these days, love is my guiding principle. Sharing with others that they too can have a better life became my mission.
Leigh Acres is part of that mission. I hope you will join us.
FIND HIDDEN TREASURES
You can find an amazing variety of artifacts, antiques, and decorative items from around the world at the Leigh Acres Flea Market every Saturday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Some of the wonderful items on sale include cast iron skillets, cast iron banks, chalk figure banks, McCoy pottery, milk crates, milk jugs and a variety of bottles.
Flea markets are an American tradition as old as baseball. The idea for these open-air street markets arrived from Europe in the 1870’s. Yankee ingenuity quickly turned them into a staple of do-it-yourself capitalism. Flea markets provided a way for immigrants (or anyone) to get into business by finding an instant demand for previously owned goods sold at bargain prices.
Among the treasures you can find every Saturday at Leigh Acres Flea Market are a number of fantastic examples folk art from around the world. Folk art often produced by plain folk, not necessarily trained artists. It’s been called many things, including naïve art, tribal art, primitive art, popular art, outsider art, traditional art, tramp art, working-class art, and blue-collar art.
A HUMAN CONNECTION
For some, there is the thrill of the treasure hunt. For others, it’s a social event in their community – a pleasant way to spend time with family and friends, and a break from the solitary experience of online shopping. Flea markets are helping bring back the human connection to the shopping experience.
